Black Future – a RogueLike (or roguelite) cross between Dwarf Fortress, Warhammer, Civilization and Douglas Adams.
RLTK – The RogueLike Toolkit, a Modern C++ library to assist with creating roguelike games.
In 2006, Herbert Wolverson created his new company: Bracket Productions. Since then, we have offered custom software development in C++, C#, and Java. We also offer consulting services on the following topics:
- Networking (TCP/IP)
- Linux and FreeBSD
- Windows servers
- Wireless Networking
- Wireless Internet Service Provider design
We also do game development, mostly for fun. In 2001, Herbert published Using Direct3D for 2D Tile Development. Since then, he has worked with a number of frameworks. The current gamedev project is Black Future, an open-source Roguelike featuring Dwarf Fortress style city building, true 3D, and pushing the envelope of the ASCII medium.
For several years, Bracket Productions has worked closely with Full Stream Wireless to provide high-speed wireless Internet to the Mid-Missouri area. Together, we’ve also launched WispTools.net – the Internet’s premier source of wireless coverage planning.
Bracket Productions are located in Columbia, Missouri.
